Top Five African Countries in Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games

By Emmanuel Oladele - In the just concluded Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games, Team Nigeria top the medals table for African Teams in the Competition, they finished 7th on the main log. Nigeria bagged 12 Gold, 9 Silver and 14 Bronze to emerge the top African Team in the competition which ended on Monday.

On the other hand, South Africa are the second best African Team in the competition after winning 7 Gold, 9 Silver and 11 Bronze.

Kenya, Uganda and Cameroon are third, fourth and Fifth African sides respectively. See details below;

• Nigeria - 12 Gold, 9 Silver and 14 Bronze - 35 Medals

• South Africa -  7 Gold, 9 Silver and 11 Bronze - 27 Medals

• Kenya -  6 Gold, 5 Silver and 10 Bronze - 21 Medals

• Uganda -  3 Gold, 0 Silver and 2 Bronze - 5 Medals

• Cameroon -  1 Gold, 1 Silver and 1 Bronze - 3 Medals
