UCL: Five Teams that have Qualified for the Round of 16 after Matchday 4

By Emmanuel Oladele - After the UEFA Champions League Group Stage Matchday 4, five team have made to the final 16.

All five clubs won their matchday 4 to book their place in the 2021/22 season UEFA Champions League round of 16, the five teams are; Liverpool, Ajax, Bayern Munich, Juventus and Chelsea.

• Liverpool - England - Group B

Liverpool FC are currently leading Group B with 12 points after three games, second on Group B log is FC Porto who have five points with just two games to go, the Reds have won group B as Porto can only gather possible six more points which will put them on 11 points behind Liverpool who are already on 12 points, hence, they have won group B and are through to the last 16.

Porto, Atletico Madrid and Milan will battle to pick the remaining one round of 16 ticket in the group. See the log below that confirms Liverpool place in the final 16;

• Ajax - Netherlands - Group C

Ajax have also made it to the round of 16 after winning all the four games they have played so far in group C, they are currently at the top of the log with 12 points and +12 goal difference, 6 points ahead of Dortmund and Sporting Lisbon who are second and third respectively with 6 points each, but separated by goals. The maximum possible points both sides can gather is 6. For Ajax, with their current form, should be able to pick at list a point from their remaining two games, moreover, the goal difference earned already should be enough for the Netherlands side. • Bayern Munich - Germany - Group E

Bayern Munich currently top group E with 12 points after 4 games and behind the German side is Barcelona who are on six points, the Spanish side can only get six more points to reach 12 points in Group E and Bayern will definitely get at least a point from their two remaining games to win the group.

Benfica who is in third position with 4 points can only earn a maximum of 6 more points for group E, a total of 10 points for Benfica will still keep them behind Bayern's current 12 points. With two teams to qualify from each group, the German side have one of the two tickets to the final 16 already. See the log below that confirms Bayern place in the final 16;

• Juventus - Italy - Group H

With two spot up for grab in Group H, Juve have picked one after earning a total of 12 points from four games, though the battle for who wins the group is still very opened to both Juve and Chelsea who have 9 points from 4 games.

Zenit who could challenge Juventus qualification after matchday 4 are currently on 3 points, meaning, they can only earn a maximum of 9 points in Group H and that's if they win their two remaining group games, 9 points will still keeps them behind Juventus current 12 points, hence, the Italian side are through to the final 16 with their current points. • Chelsea - England - Group H

Chelsea FC is another team to have picked the final 16 ticket. The Blues currently have 9 points from four games and are behind Juventus who have 12 points in Group H.

Juventus have already picked one of the two final 16 tickets in Group H and the second going the way of Chelsea, though, failure to pick at least a point from their two remaining group games if Zenit picked all 6 more possible Points with good goals difference may hampered the Blues' chances, as Zenit are currently third on the log with three points.

Chelsea will also be good with 9 points and good goal difference if they failed to pick at least a point from their possible 6 more points. Without doubt and with Chelsea current form, they will definitely pick a point from their two remaining games, hence, the Blues are through to the final 16.
