Manchester City Defender Stretchered off the Pitch after Dangerous Collision with Ederson

By Emmanuel Oladele - In Germany on Sunday, a dangerous collision forced Nigerian striker Taiwo Awoniyi to be stretchered off the pitch after a collision with his opponent's defender in Mainz 1-0 loss to Augsburg.

The English Premier League also resumed on Wednesday and witnessed similar incident as Manchester City defender Eric Garcia had a dangerous collision with his own Goalkeeper Ederson in Manchester City 3-0 win over Arsenal.

The Spaniard was stretchered off the pitch with a neck brace. The game was stopped for almost ten minutes as several medics treat the youngster beside the pitch.

Team manager Pep Guardiola has spoken after Manchester City 3-0 win over Arsenal, "we are concerned about Eric of course. He is conscious, but I think he is going to be tested tonight because a kick in the head is always so dangerous." This confirmed that the defender is now in stable condition but further assessment will be carried out on the player.
