Oshoala Included in Forbes 30 Under-30 Influential Personalities for Year 2020

By Ilekhuoba Taiye - Four times African Player of the Year, Asisat Oshoala has been included in the Forbes 30 under-30 influential personalities of the year 2020.

A role model to many, she has continued to pave way for African women footballers aiming at the top.

The 2015 BBC Player of the Year has indeed been in a blistering form since joining FC Barcelona Femini this season on a permanent basis, scoring 20 goals and one assist in 19 league appearances for the Blaugranes, making her a contender for the highest scorer honour.

During the winter transfer window, it was reported that Barcelona had discarded a bid from women football giant, Olympic Lyon after their top striker, Ada Hergerberg was ruled out of the remainder of the season due to an ACL injury.

The reigning African footballer of the year might see herself getting maiden nomination for the either the FIFA women player of the year award or the reputable ballon d'or which will be a colossal and immense achievement for Africa as a whole.

The Nigerian joined the Spanish giants on loan from Dalian Quanjian FC last season scoring 7 goals in 7 appearances. After making a sound impression, the management were left with no preference  than to inquire for her signature which will see her at the Catalan club until 30th June 2022.
