Opposition Watch: Zambia U-23 Coach Satisfied with Preparations so far

Zambia U23 national team head coach Beston Chambeshi is happy with the way the preparations for Egypt's U23 AFCON tournament are going.

Chambeshi is especially impressed with the cooperation he got from the clubs who released the players who had gone back for week six league games on time. The 'Bola na Lesa' Boys will play three friendly games this week to assess how the team has shaped up so far.
"First and foremost I want to thank the boys and their clubs, Am happy that they came back at the right time and that's the cooperation we want with the teams. If we can work like that then we can move forward," he said.

"So far so good. The boys who went out have no injury concerns. It's a big week we looking at having a friendly game this week, maybe against Kabwe Warriors. We working on the tactical part. I am happy we did not concede when played small teams last week."

"The tournament is near the corner that's why we arranging friendly games so that we see where we need to improve. We want to play at least three friendly games," he added.

Zambia is expected to have an international camp before heading to Egypt for the November 8-22 AFCON. Zambia is in Group B alongside Nigeria, South Africa, and Ivory Coast. The top three teams at the eight-member tournament will qualify for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
