France 2019 : Super Falcons back on track with 2-0 victory over Korea

Super Falcons of Nigeria gets their World Cup campaign back on track with a resounding 2-0 victory over Korea Republic on Wednesday afternoon.
A goal each in both half ensures the African Champions total valuable three points after suffering 0-3 setback in their Mundial opener on Saturday evening to Norway.
A 24th minute own-goal by Kim off a long ball forward from evergreen Rita Chikwelu which causes chaos in the Asians' backline and the defender, in attempting to clear, flicked the ball past the advancing Kim Minjung. After a brief VAR review for a possible handball, the goal was allowed and Nigeria celebrated the Africans the lead.
In the second half, inspiring Chidinma Okeke did some brilliant touches before setting Barcelona Femeni star, Asisat Oshoala up who technically rounded the goalkeeper before sliding the ball into the back of the net with 15 minutes left to seal the victory.

The Super Falcons will now bank on the positive redemption ahead of their final game against hosts France as the battle for a place in the round of 16 continues.
