Arsenal quarter-final qualification suffer setback

Arsenal on Thursday night were defeated by French club Rennes in the round of 16 of the Europa League at Roazhon Park, the game ended 3-1.
Iwobi put Arsenal in front 3 minutes into the first half after receiving a pass from Nacho Monreal, three minutes to the end of first half Benjamin Bourigeaud restored parity to the host.

Arsenal had to play with 10 men following Sokratis Papastathopoulos red in the 41st minute, the Greece International had received two yellow card before given the match order.

An own goal from Nacho Monreal gave Rennes the lead for the first time in the 65th minute of the thrilling encounter.

21-year-old Senegalese striker, Ismaila Sarr, sealed the victory for the host in the 88th minute to take the scoreline to 3-1 in favour of the host.
Arsenal will now have to put up a good fight in England when they host Rennes in the second leg.
