The 25year old who joined Manchester city last summer from Austrian Wien and was shipped out on loan to Spanish side Girona where he struggled for game time before he was sent on loan to Shakhtar Donetsk where he actually impressed.
The pacy striker scored three goal and made one assist in his eight appearance for Shakhtar helping them to a domestic double during his loan period.
Shakhtar confirmed his transfer via the clubs official Twitter handle.
“FC Shakhtar have bought on permanent transfer Olarenwaju Kayode from Manchester City and the striker has signed a five-year contract.”
