2017 Edition of Dr. D.K. Olukoya National Youth and Junior Athletics Championships

Dr. D.K. Olukoya the Founder and General Overseer of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries is known to be a pastor that has the interest of youths and moreover a promoter of sports in Nigeria.

The 2017 edition of Dr. D.K. Olukoya National Youth and Junior Athletics Championships will hold from 7th to 8th of April at the High Performance Centre in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. Over 300 athletes within the age range are expected to take part in the competition. The competition will also serve as trials for International Junior Athletics competitions later this year.

Nigeria will hope to take part in the Africa Junior Championship in Algeria, IAAF World Youth Championship in Kenya, as well as the Commonwealth Youth Games in Bahamas. With the three major Junior Athletics Championships, the 2017 edition of Dr. D.K. Olukoya National Youth and Junior Championships will hold from 7th to 8th of April at the High Performance Centre in Port Harcourt will serve as trials and preparatory games for the Junior Athletes that will represent Nigeria in all this competitions later this year.
The last edition of the competition was held at Yaba College of Technology in Lagos.
