Ndidi Crown First Leicester Goal with Belgium Goal of the Year Award

Super Eagles Midfielder Wilfred Ndidi has been voted winner of the Goal of the year 2016 award in Belgium.

His wonder strike for Genk against Club Brugge in the 2015-16 season was voted the goal of the year in Belgium.
The 20 year old balanced a pass in mid-air and then slammed home an unstoppable volley from 30 yards out that swerved into the net and past Brugge goalkeeper Ludovic Butelle.
The Nigerian International who joined English Champions, Leicester city last month has become a long range expert of sorts and has developed a knack for scoring spectacular long range strikes.
This he replicated yesterday when he opened his account for the English Champions Leicester with a similar long range strike in their 3-1 victory over Derby in the FA cup.

The youngster was unable to collect the award for being voted Goal of the year at the ceremony of the 63rd edition of the Shoe D’Or, (Golden Boot) on Wednesday in Lint due to the FA Cup game.
However, the award was last year bagged by former AA Gent striker Nicklas Pedersen who won the trophy Last year .
Meanwhile, Ndidi won the prize for the best goal of the season in 2015-16 season and now with the same goal, he has emerged as the winner of the goal of the year 2016 in Belgium.
