AWCON 2016: Nigeria wallops Mali

The Nigerian Female National Senior Team, Super Falcons, on Sunday evening humiliated their Malian counterpart with 6-0 win at the ongoing African Women Cup of Nations in Cameroon.

In a match that seems to be an easy match for Nigeria, Arsenal Ladies and Nigeria forward Asisat Oshoala scored four times and was on top of her game to defend the golden boot she won in 2014. Francesca Ordega was also on target for Nigeria in the first half.

Nigeria was 2-0 up in the first half with goals from Asisat Oshoala and Francesca Ordega. Moreover, Uchechi Sunday scored from the spot at the opening of 2nd half after Esosa Igbinoba was brought down by a Malian in the 47th minute.

Asisat Oshoala's second half hat-trick was enough to complete the total demolition of Malians. Nigeria now top group B with 3 points.

Nigeria will play their second group game on Wednesday against Ghana, a win against Ghana will send Nigeria to the Semifinal.
