Alexandria, Egypt — FIFA has ordered Egyptian club Al Ittihad Alexandria to pay Angolan striker Cristóvão Paciência Mabululu $70,000 in outstanding wages following a ruling by the organisation's Dispute Resolution Chamber on 28 October 2026.
The decision followed a complaint filed by the former Al Ittihad Alexandria forward over unpaid financial entitlements, with FIFA partially upholding his claim.
In addition to the outstanding $70,000, the Egyptian club has been ordered to pay annual interest of five per cent on the debt until full settlement.
The interest will be calculated on two separate amounts, with $30,000 attracting interest from 16 April 2026 and the remaining $40,000 from 16 May 2026.
Al Ittihad Alexandria have 45 days from notification of the decision to settle the outstanding amount, including applicable interest.
Failure to comply within the stipulated period could have serious consequences for the Egyptian side, as FIFA's ruling provides for a transfer ban preventing the club from registering new players, either domestically or internationally, for up to three consecutive registration periods.
However, the enforcement of the registration ban will depend on a formal request from Mabululu, in accordance with FIFA regulations.
The matter could also be referred to FIFA's Disciplinary Committee if the outstanding payment remains unsettled after the applicable registration-ban period.
The ruling represents another financial setback for Al Ittihad Alexandria as the club faces pressure to meet its contractual obligations to the Angolan international.
Mabululu, who previously represented the Egyptian club, is now entitled to receive the amount recognised by FIFA in its decision.
The club will need to comply with the ruling to avoid the potential registration restrictions.
