The first leg is scheduled for 17 October at the TPM Stadium in Lubumbashi, with kick-off set for 3:00pm local time.
The return leg will take place on 25 October at Stade de Radès in Tunis, beginning at 6:00pm Tunis time.
The tie is one of 16 second preliminary-round fixtures in the CAF Champions League, with the winners of the two-legged contests advancing to the group stage. CAF has scheduled the first legs between 16 and 18 October and the return matches between 23 and 25 October.
Mazembe, five-time African champions, reached this stage after defeating Ghanaian side Medeama 4–1 on aggregate in the first preliminary round. The Congolese club won 1–0 away before completing the job with a 3–1 victory at home.
Club Africain also progressed from the opening round after eliminating Mali's Djoliba AC 3–2 on aggregate. The Tunisian side won the first leg 1–0 in Radès before drawing 2–2 in the return fixture in Bamako.The meeting brings together two clubs with a rich history in African football and will determine which side secures a place in the Champions League group stage.
