KANO, Nigeria — Ranchers Bees and Niger Tornadoes finished 0-0 on Saturday in Nigeria Premier Football League matchday eight.
The game at Sani Abacha Stadium remained goalless throughout. Deep into eight minutes of added time, Ranchers Bees were reduced to ten men when Habibu Yakubu received a straight red card for impeding a goal-bound move. The home side held on despite the numerical disadvantage and shared the points.
Ranchers Bees move to eight points from eight games and stay in the lower half of the table. Niger Tornadoes reach nine points. The result follows a mixed run for Ranchers, who have beaten Bendel Insurance and Abia Warriors this season but lost to Rangers International, Barau FC and Kwara United. The clean sheet is their second in three home games.
Saturday’s other completed fixture saw Ikorodu City beat Kwara United 2-0. The remaining matchday-eight games are set for Sunday. Ranchers Bees next face Shooting Stars away, while Niger Tornadoes look to build on the point. Both sides continue their campaigns in the top flight.
