The Azzurri took the lead through Gianluca Scamacca before Türkiye levelled through Aral Şimşir early in the second half. Riccardo Calafiori restored Italy’s advantage before Francesco Pio Esposito sealed the win late on.
Scamacca gives Italy first-half lead
Türkiye started positively, with the visitors creating several early opportunities, but Gianluigi Donnarumma kept Italy in the contest.
Italy gradually grew into the match and broke the deadlock in the 26th minute.
Scamacca produced a powerful finish from inside the area to give the hosts a 1-0 lead. It was his first goal for Italy in three years.
Italy held their advantage into half-time despite Türkiye continuing to threaten.
Şimşir brings Türkiye level
Türkiye came out strongly after the interval and were rewarded in the 61st minute.
Aral Şimşir finished from close range to make it 1-1 and give the visitors renewed hope of claiming their first points of the Nations League campaign.
However, Italy responded almost immediately.
Calafiori restores Italy's advantage
Just three minutes after Türkiye's equaliser, Riccardo Calafiori put Italy back in front.
The defender headed home from a set-piece delivery to score his first senior international goal and make it 2-1.
Türkiye continued to search for another equaliser, but Italy defended their advantage and remained dangerous on the counter.
Pio Esposito seals victory
Italy finally put the result beyond doubt in the 87th minute when Francesco Pio Esposito finished from close range after good work from Alessandro Romano.
The goal completed a 3-1 victory and ensured Italy collected another three points in Group A1.
The result also means Türkiye remain without a point after four Nations League matches, while Italy moved into second place in the group.
Italy's Nations League campaign
The victory was another positive result for Italy after their 2-0 defeat to Belgium in their opening Group A1 match.
They subsequently defeated Türkiye 4-1 away from home and drew 1-1 with France before returning to winning ways against Türkiye in Bologna.
Italy's next Nations League fixture will be against France on 12 November, before they travel to face Belgium three days later.
