LONDON, England — Arsenal and Manchester City remain the only unbeaten sides with a perfect record after Matchday 3, the champions coming from behind to beat Chelsea 2-1 on Sunday.
Morgan Rogers scored after 77 seconds at the Emirates. Kai Havertz equalised and Martin Ødegaard won it just after half-time. City had already beaten Coventry 1-0 on Saturday through Erling Haaland. Both clubs have nine points and a +5 goal difference.
Liverpool opened the round on Friday with Alexander Isak’s two early goals in a 2-0 win at Ipswich. Saturday was largely a day of draws. Crystal Palace were the exception, winning 3-2 at Fulham thanks to Tyrick Mitchell’s brace and Ben Chilwell’s late strike.
Sunday’s other fixture finished Everton 2-2 Manchester United. United led twice through Bryan Mbeumo and Benjamin Šeško; Tyrique George and a stoppage-time drive from debutant Ainsley Maitland-Niles rescued a point for the Toffees.
