The Nigeria Football Federation confirmed that the Flamingos scored 17 goals and conceded only two across their five matches.
Harmony leads Nigeria to emphatic final victory
Captain Harmony Chidi was the standout performer in the final, converting two penalties to give Nigeria a commanding advantage before half-time.
She opened the scoring from the spot in the 15th minute before converting another penalty in the 35th minute, sending the Flamingos into the interval with a 2-0 lead.
Nigeria continued to control proceedings after the restart, with Oluebube Umejiaku extending the lead in the 67th minute.
Oluwakemi Adegbuyi then completed the scoring in the 90th minute to seal a comprehensive 4-0 victory and trigger celebrations among the Nigerian players and technical staff.
Flamingos complete five-match winning run
Nigeria's route to the WAFU-B title was emphatic from the opening fixture.
• Nigeria 5-0 Niger Republic: The Flamingos began their campaign with a five-goal victory, with Captain Harmony Chidi opening the scoring before Awawu Bashiru, Ohunene Sunday, Mary Dunstan and Ayomide Rotimi completed the rout.
• Nigeria 4-2 Ghana: Despite being reduced to 10 players after Elizabeth Adesuyi's dismissal, Nigeria held on for an impressive victory over the Black Princesses. Oluwakemi Adegbuyi, Harmony Chidi, Mary Dunstan and Kaosarat Akanji were on target.
• Nigeria 2-0 Burkina Faso: The Flamingos maintained their winning momentum with another clean-sheet victory.
• Nigeria 2-0 Côte d’Ivoire: Goals from Oluwakemi Adegbuyi and Pattra Oparanmegwa secured victory over the tournament hosts.
• Nigeria 4-0 Togo: Harmony Chidi's brace, followed by goals from Oluebube Umejiaku and Oluwakemi Adegbuyi, completed Nigeria's perfect five-match run.
Another boost ahead of the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup
The WAFU-B triumph provides an important boost for Akeem Busari's Flamingos ahead of the 2026 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup in Morocco.
Nigeria had already secured qualification for the global tournament after defeating Benin Republic 5-3 in the second leg in July to complete an 8-5 aggregate victory.
The NFF described the WAFU-B competition as an important preparatory event for the World Cup and said the Flamingos had benefited significantly from the tournament.
The Nigerian side will now turn its attention towards Morocco, carrying the confidence of a five-match winning streak, 17 goals scored and just two conceded from their successful WAFU-B campaign.
