Mosimane will be without key midfielder Teboho Mokoena through injury, with Bathusi Aubaas among the leading candidates to fill the midfield role alongside Yaya Sithole. The coach has already indicated a desire to maintain momentum and avoid any slip-ups against lower-ranked opposition.
A victory would take South Africa to six points from two matches and strengthen their early position in Group D, while Eritrea will aim to frustrate the visitors and capitalise on any set-piece opportunities.
