The White Knights have reached a friendly agreement with the player to end his stay, according to reports. Zamalek have settled all of Ochieng’s outstanding dues, and the defender has signed a final settlement.
The decision to part ways was made at the request of the technical staff led by coach Moatamad Gamal.
Ochieng joined Zamalek in September 2025 from Kenyan club Sofapaka after impressing scouts during the CAF U20 Africa Cup of Nations held in Cairo earlier that year. The Harambee Stars full-back signed a multi-year deal with the Egyptian giants.
However, recurring injuries limited his impact at the club, and he is now viewed as surplus to requirements as Zamalek prepare for the new season and their CAF Champions League campaign.
The young defender’s time in Egypt is expected to come to an end shortly.
