In a letter seen by The Telegraph, the European governing body stated that it is actively considering legal action, arbitration and/or regulatory complaints arising from the controversial plan.
UEFA has ordered FIFA to immediately identify, locate and preserve all documents, emails and electronically stored information related to the FFE proposal. The letter warns that any destruction, deletion or alteration of relevant materials could result in serious legal sanctions, including applications for adverse inference orders and costs.
