The influential midfielder will miss tonight’s Betway Premiership fixture against TS Galaxy and is also expected to be unavailable for the weekend match against Kaizer Chiefs.
Mokoena sustained the injury in the cup encounter and is now facing a period on the sidelines as the medical team assesses the full extent of the damage. His absence will be felt in the Sundowns engine room, where he has been a consistent and important presence.
The Brazilians will have to adjust their midfield options for the upcoming fixtures while they await further updates on Mokoena’s recovery timeline.
