The 20-year-old centre-back has progressed through the Amakhosi youth ranks and established himself as one of the country’s brightest defensive prospects. He will wear the No. 21 jersey for the Cape Winelands club.
Taunyana expressed his excitement at the move, highlighting Stellenbosch’s reputation for player development and strong facilities.
“I am very excited to join Stellenbosch FC. This is a team that is well known for development and having great facilities and coaches, so I’m grateful to be here,” he said. “Growing as a player and a person is the most important thing for me, and I felt that this was the right step for my career.”
The defender could make his debut when Stellenbosch face Polokwane City in the Betway Premiership on 11 August.
