BERKANE, Morocco — Moroccan club RS Berkane are on the verge of securing the signature of Cape Verde goalkeeper Vozinha, despite the 40-year-old already being announced by Chilean side Colo Colo.
According to reports, the veteran shot-stopper has changed his plans and is now finalising details to join the Botola Pro side. Vozinha was initially due to arrive in Santiago earlier this week, but successive delays — first to Wednesday, then Thursday — saw him fail to show up, opening the door for a switch to Morocco.
Transfer Twist
The experienced Cape Verde international, who impressed during the 2026 FIFA World Cup, had agreed terms with Colo Colo. However, the intervention of his former national team coach Bubista, who has taken charge at RS Berkane, is understood to have swayed the decision.
Berkane are offering Vozinha the role of undisputed first-choice goalkeeper, a factor that appears to have tipped the balance in their favour. Negotiations are at an advanced stage, with an official announcement expected soon.
The development represents a major coup for the Moroccan club and a significant setback for Colo Colo, who had publicly presented the goalkeeper as their new signing.
