The two clubs will meet in a two-legged tie as both begin their campaigns towards the group stage of Africa’s premier club competition.
The first legs of the preliminary round are scheduled for 4–6 September 2026, with the return fixtures set for 11–13 September.
The winner will advance to the second preliminary round.
