CASABLANCA, Morocco — Jordanian midfielder Nizar Al-Rashdan has officially joined Moroccan giants Wydad Athletic Club.
The midfielder has signed a one-year contract with the Red Castle, with an option to extend for a further year.
Al-Rashdan’s arrival strengthens Wydad’s midfield options as the club continues to build its squad for the new season. The Jordanian international brings energy, technical quality and experience to a side that remains one of the most ambitious in African football.
Wydad have moved to secure the midfielder’s services as they look to compete strongly on both the domestic and continental fronts. The one-year deal with an extension option provides flexibility while allowing the player to prove his value in the Botola Pro and CAF competitions.
Al-Rashdan will now link up with his new teammates and begin preparations under the current technical staff. His signing forms part of Wydad’s ongoing recruitment drive as they aim to maintain their status as one of North Africa’s leading clubs.
