PRETORIA, South Africa — Mamelodi Sundowns have reached a club-to-club agreement with Danish side FC Copenhagen for the transfer of Thapelo Maseko.
The fee for the Bafana Bafana winger is understood to be in the region of €1.5 million (approximately R28 million).
The deal marks the latest progressive move for a Sundowns player into European football. Maseko has been a consistent performer for the Brazilians and has attracted interest from abroad in recent months.
Talks between the two clubs have progressed to the point of agreement, paving the way for the winger to continue his career in Denmark. Personal terms and final formalities are expected to be concluded in due course.
