PRETORIA, South Africa — Mamelodi Sundowns begin their domestic season this evening when they host Polokwane City in the MTN8 quarter-finals at Lucas Moripe Stadium.

First Competitive Outing of the Season
The Brazilians enter the match as clear favourites after a successful previous campaign that included lifting the CAF Champions League title. However, the MTN8 has often proved a difficult competition for them in recent years, with Orlando Pirates dominating the trophy of late.
Polokwane City, nicknamed Rise and Shine, arrive with competitive match fitness already under their belt after starting their Betway Premiership campaign last weekend.
