ACCRA, Ghana — Ghana international midfielder Kwasi Sibo has agreed personal terms on a two-year deal with an option for a further year with Turkish Super Lig side Gençlerbirliği.
The contract is reportedly worth around €1 million per year.
Despite receiving bigger offers, including a substantial package from a Libyan club and a proposal from Egyptian giants Al Ahly, the 28-year-old free agent has chosen to join the Ankara-based club.
Sibo became available after his contract with Spanish side Real Oviedo expired. Formalities are expected to be completed in the coming days.
