Renard, who previously led Côte d’Ivoire to the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations title, takes charge once again. He remains the only coach in history to win the AFCON with two different nations, having also guided Zambia to glory in 2012.
The appointment follows the departure of Emerse Faé and comes as the Elephants look to rebuild and prepare for upcoming continental and international campaigns.
Renard’s vast experience across African football, including previous spells with Morocco, Angola and others, is expected to bring stability and proven winning pedigree back to the national side.
