Hersi Said Re-Elected Unopposed as Young Africans President

DAR ES SALAAM, Tanzania — Eng. Hersi Said has been re-elected unopposed as President of Young Africans SC (Yanga) for another four-year term.

His new mandate will run from 2026 to 2030.

The re-election ensures continuity in leadership as Yanga continue their domestic and continental ambitions. Under Said’s previous tenure, the club has maintained its position as one of East Africa’s strongest sides, winning multiple league titles and competing regularly in CAF competitions.

The unopposed victory reflects strong internal support for his leadership heading into the next chapter of the club’s journey.
