As one of Africa’s traditional powerhouses and a higher-ranked side, ES Tunis join other leading clubs exempted from the opening stage. The first preliminary round draw is scheduled for 6 August 2026 at CAF headquarters in Cairo.
The bye gives the Tunisian side extra time to prepare as they look to make another strong challenge for continental glory.
