Aliyu Zubair Unveiled as Al Ahly Wad Madani Technical Adviser

SUDAN — Nigerian coach Aliyu Zubair has been officially unveiled as the new Technical Adviser of Sudanese club Al Ahly Wad Madani.

The unveiling ceremony took place in Kigali, where the Sudanese side is currently preparing for its CAF Confederation Cup campaign. Zubair has signed a two-year contract with the club following his departure from Egyptian second-tier side Telecom SC.

The experienced tactician takes charge with a clear mandate to strengthen the squad and guide Al Ahly Wad Madani in both domestic and continental competitions. His immediate focus will be the CAF Confederation Cup, where the team is set to face Kenyan side Tusker in the first preliminary round.

Speaking at the unveiling, Zubair expressed his excitement at the new challenge.

“Al Ahly Madani is another huge challenge for me. It is a great club with rich history and high ambitions,” he said. “I am looking forward to working with the players, the management and the fans to achieve our objectives, especially as the team prepare to compete in the CAF Confederation Cup.”

Zubair’s appointment marks another step in his growing coaching career. He has worked across different football environments and continues to build his reputation as one of Nigeria’s emerging coaches with international experience.

Al Ahly Wad Madani will now finalise preparations in Kigali under their new Technical Adviser ahead of the start of their continental campaign.
