Goals from captain Marine Dafeur and Lynda Bendris in the first half proved decisive at the Al Medina Stadium, as the Fennecs finished second in the group behind hosts Morocco.
Early Brilliance Sets the Tone
Algeria took control early. In the 14th minute, Dafeur produced a moment of quality, curling a superb long-range free-kick into the top corner beyond the reach of Kenyan goalkeeper Elizabeth Ochaka.
Nine minutes later, the lead was doubled. Relentless pressing forced an error from Ochaka, and Bendris capitalised calmly to slot the ball home and make it 2-0.
Kenya Unable to Respond
Despite improved efforts after the interval, Kenya struggled to create clear chances against a well-organised Algerian defence. The Harambee Starlets ended the tournament without a point or a goal, having suffered heavy defeats to Morocco (0-4) and Senegal (0-1) earlier in the group stage.
Algeria, who had opened their campaign with a 2-0 win over Senegal before a narrow 1-0 loss to Morocco, finished with six points and a +3 goal difference.

Algeria advance to the knockout stages, while Kenya’s campaign ends in disappointment after failing to register a single point at the finals.
