NAIROBI, Kenya — AFC Leopards have officially unveiled Ugandan goalkeeper Tom Ikara as their latest signing.
The 29-year-old arrives at the Den with extensive experience from Ugandan football, having previously featured for BUL FC, KCCA FC, Police FC and Mbarara City.
Ikara’s standout campaign came in the 2023/24 Uganda Premier League season, when he claimed the Golden Glove after recording the highest number of clean sheets in the league.
He joins Ingwe at a time of transition in the goalkeeping department, following the departure of fellow Ugandan James Ssetuba and the move of Humphrey Katasi to Gor Mahia. Ikara also strengthens AFC Leopards’ growing Ugandan contingent, linking up with Sam Senyonjo and Taddeo Lwanga.
The experienced shot-stopper will now look to bring the same defensive solidity and consistency that earned him individual recognition in Uganda as he embarks on a new challenge in the Kenyan Premier League.
