Club president Aníbal Mosa confirmed the deal, stating that Vozinha will travel to Chile in the coming days for medical examinations before being presented at the Estadio Monumental.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reported that the documents were set to be finalised over the weekend, after which the goalkeeper would fly to Chile to complete the process.
Vozinha, whose full name is Josimar José Évora Dias, has been without a club since his contract with Portuguese side Chaves expired in June. His impressive displays for Cape Verde, including a clean sheet against eventual champions Spain and a strong showing in the round-of-32 defeat to Argentina, turned him into a global sensation and dramatically increased his profile.
