Key notes for the opening night
The tournament opener sees Algeria face Senegal at the Olympic Stadium. The two sides meet for the first time at WAFCON level. Senegal will look to build on consecutive quarter-final appearances, while Algeria aim for a strong start on their return to the continental finals.
Later in the evening, hosts and 2024 finalists Morocco begin their campaign against Kenya at the Moulay El Hassan Stadium. Kenya return to the finals for the first time since 2016 and face an immediate test against the home side.
All Group A matches will be played in Rabat. The expanded 16-team tournament runs until 16 August, with the top two teams from each group advancing to the quarter-finals.
