The Chilean Primera División regulations, enforced by the ANFP, allow only real surnames on match shirts. Nicknames, aliases or artistic names are explicitly prohibited.
Vozinha’s full name is Josimar José Évora Dias. He will therefore appear as Évora, Dias or a combination of his surnames (with the option of adding a first-name initial) on the Colo-Colo kit.
The only route to using “Vozinha” would be a special exemption granted by the ANFP following a formal request from the club. Colo-Colo is understood to have submitted such a request, which is currently under review by the federation’s legal department.
The 40-year-old free agent joined the Chilean giants after his standout performances for Cape Verde at the World Cup, where he helped the team reach the round of 32 on their debut appearance.
