The 20-year-old scored Algeria’s second goal in the 88th minute, finishing a move started by Lina Boussaha, to seal the three points at the Olympic Stadium. Bethi’s clinical finish capped a strong all-round display on her WAFCON debut.
Marine Dafeur had earlier given Algeria the lead from the penalty spot in the 42nd minute. Bethi’s late contribution ensured a clean sheet and a perfect start to Group A for the Fennecs.
