History Made: Kaizer Chiefs Sign Tanzanian Midfielder Adolf Mtasingwa from Azam FC

SOWETO, SOUTH AFRICA — South African giants Kaizer Chiefs have officially completed the signing of Tanzanian defensive midfielder Adolf Mtasingwa Bitegeko from Azam FC. The 27-year-old has signed a two-year contract at Naturena ahead of the 2026/27 Betway Premiership season.

The landmark deal makes Mtasingwa the first-ever Tanzanian player to represent Amakhosi. He joins a proud lineage of East African talents who have worn the black and gold, including David Obua, Ivan Bukenya, and Anthony Akumu.
