Despite the encouraging turnout, only 16 players participated in the team’s first training session on Monday evening as the coaching crew monitored arrivals and fitness levels ahead of the friendlies.
Among the players already in camp are goalkeepers Maduka Okoye, Francis Uzoho and Arthur Okonkwo, alongside experienced stars such as Wilfred Ndidi, Moses Simon, Paul Onuachu, Terem Moffi and Semi Ajayi.
Also present in camp are Akor Adams, Raphael Onyedika, Frank Onyeka, Bruno Onyemaechi, Zaidu Sanusi, Jordan Torunarigha Fernandez, Igoh Ogbu, Nnadi, Rafiu Durosinmi and Ibrahim.
The opening training session gave the technical crew an early opportunity to assess the condition of the squad as the Super Eagles intensify preparations for the upcoming fixtures.
The atmosphere in camp is said to be positive, with players arriving focused and determined as Nigeria aims to build momentum ahead of future competitive matches.
The international friendlies are expected to provide the coaching staff with an important opportunity to test combinations, assess new players and improve team chemistry.
With more players still expected to join camp, attention will now shift to the next training sessions as the Super Eagles continue preparations in Poland.
