After a tightly contested first half that ended goalless, the Lagos-based side broke the deadlock in the 59th minute through Opeyemi Ajakaye, who reacted sharply to a defensive lapse inside the Nasarawa Amazons backline to calmly finish and give Robo Queens the lead.
Just five minutes later, FC Robo doubled their advantage when Kemi Adegbuyi converted a well-worked attacking move in the 64th minute, finishing clinically to put the game beyond the reach of the Solid Babes.
With the two quick-fire goals, Robo Queens took full control of the encounter, dictating the tempo and forcing Nasarawa Amazons into chasing the game for the remainder of the second half.
Despite attempts from the Amazons to respond, Robo’s defensive structure held firm, ensuring they maintained their clean sheet and sealed all three points in a vital Super Six fixture.
The result marks an important boost for FC Robo Queens’ campaign in the NWFL Super Six, while Nasarawa Amazons are left to reflect on missed opportunities in a match that slipped away within a decisive six-minute spell.
As the competition intensifies, Robo Queens’ disciplined performance and clinical finishing underline their intent to challenge strongly for top honours.
