The solemn ceremony attracted a large gathering of mourners and dignitaries from different walks of life, including political leaders, traditional rulers, football administrators, friends, associates, supporters, and sympathizers, who came together to honour the memory of the late matriarch.
The funeral service, which took place on May 29, 2026, followed earlier burial arrangements announced by the Chukwueze family after the passing of Mrs. Serah Chinyere Chukwueze at the age of 59.
Emotional scenes were witnessed as family members, close friends, and well-wishers paid their last respects during the ceremony in Umuahia, with many describing the late Prophetess as a strong pillar behind the success and growth of the Nigerian international football star.
Several respected personalities from the football community were also present to support the family during the burial rites, reflecting the wide admiration and respect enjoyed by the Chukwueze family within and outside the sporting world.
