The race turned into a memorable day for Norway as Hakon Moe Berg completed a remarkable Norwegian 1-2 finish, crossing the line in 3:33.41. Britain’s Elliot Giles finished a close third in 3:33.42 after an intense battle in the closing metres.
Nordås, the World Championships bronze medallist, showed his class with a strong finishing kick to separate himself from the field and secure one of the standout performances of the meeting. The Norwegian star controlled the latter stages of the race before powering home comfortably ahead of his compatriot and Giles.
The result further highlights Norway’s growing dominance in middle-distance running, with Nordås continuing to impress on the international circuit. His victory in Rehlingen adds another strong performance to an already impressive season as he builds momentum for upcoming major championships.
Hakon Moe Berg also produced a breakthrough run, narrowly holding off the fast-finishing Giles by just one hundredth of a second in a thrilling sprint to the line.
The Internationales Pfingstsportfest Rehlingen once again delivered high-quality athletics competition, with the men’s 1500m emerging as one of the headline events of the meet.
