Millwall Reject £20m Ipswich Bid for Super Eagles Star Femi Azeez After Stunning Nigeria Debut

Millwall have reportedly rejected a £20 million bid from Ipswich Town for Super Eagles forward Femi Azeez following the striker’s remarkable rise in both club and international football.

The 24-year-old Nigerian attacker is currently under contract at Millwall until 2028 and has become one of the most sought-after forwards in the English transfer market after an outstanding Championship campaign.

Azeez scored 11 goals and provided seven assists for Millwall this season, playing a major role in the club’s attacking success and attracting attention from several Premier League sides.

His stock rose even further after a dream international debut for the Nigeria national football team in the Unity Cup semi-final against Zimbabwe national football team. The forward announced himself on the big stage by scoring twice in Nigeria’s 2-0 victory to send the Super Eagles into the final.

Reports indicate that Millwall value Azeez closer to £30 million due to his age, current form, and the long-term contract tying him to The Den. The club are believed to be reluctant to lose one of their most important attacking players unless their valuation is met.

Ipswich Town, managed by Kieran McKenna, are eager to strengthen their squad after securing promotion back to the Premier League. The Tractor Boys are looking to add proven attacking quality as they prepare for the challenge of top-flight survival next season.

However, Ipswich are not alone in the race for the Nigerian star. Aston Villa, AFC Bournemouth, Crystal Palace, and Sunderland have all been linked with interest in Azeez as Premier League clubs continue to monitor his rapid development.

With his performances for both club and country continuing to impress, Femi Azeez is quickly becoming one of Nigeria’s hottest football exports ahead of the summer transfer window.
