Fulham Reject €24m Chukwueze Deal as Super Eagles Star Heads Back to AC Milan

Premier League side Fulham F.C. have reportedly decided against activating the €24 million option to sign Nigerian winger Samuel Chukwueze permanently from AC Milan, bringing his loan spell at Craven Cottage to an end.

According to reports from Italian outlet Tuttomercato, the Super Eagles forward is now expected to return to San Siro ahead of the 2026/27 season after Fulham opted not to proceed with a permanent transfer.

Chukwueze joined Fulham on a season-long loan from AC Milan during the 2025 summer transfer window, with the London club holding an option to buy the winger permanently at the end of the campaign.

Despite showing flashes of brilliance in the Premier League, Fulham have now chosen to move in a different direction. The 27-year-old contributed three goals and four assists during his time with the Cottagers, producing several important performances across the season.

The decision leaves Chukwueze facing another uncertain chapter in his European career. Before his temporary move to England, the Nigerian international struggled to cement a regular starting place during a difficult two-year spell with AC Milan.

While the winger will return to Milan once his loan officially expires, his long-term future at the Italian giants remains unclear as the club prepares for another summer rebuild ahead of the new campaign.

For Fulham, the move signals a desire to strengthen their attacking options elsewhere, while Chukwueze will hope to revive his career either back at San Siro or through another transfer opportunity this summer.
