Google Updates Official Scoreline: Morocco 3-0 Senegal in AFCON 2025 Final

Google has now updated the official result of the Africa Cup of Nations 2025 Final to reflect the latest decision by CAF.

The scoreline now reads:

Senegal 0 - 3 Morocco Full-time – 18 January 2026 Final

The only goal listed on the updated record is P. Gueye 94' — but it is now officially recorded as part of Morocco’s 3-0 awarded victory following CAF’s ruling.

What Happened

Originally, Senegal appeared to have won the final 1-0 in extra time with Gueye’s strike in the 94th minute. However, after a controversial incident involving a disputed penalty and Senegal’s protest (which led to a temporary walk-off), CAF’s Appeal Board applied strict regulations and awarded the match 3-0 to the hosts, Morocco.

This means Morocco are officially recognised as the 2025 AFCON champions.

The update on Google reflects the final, binding decision made by the Confederation of African Football after reviewing the appeal.

This is one of the most unusual and debated conclusions to an AFCON final in recent memory, with Morocco lifting their second continental title (after 1976) under controversial circumstances.

A very rare and controversial update. What do you think about CAF’s final ruling and Google reflecting the 3-0 scoreline? Drop your thoughts below!
