Tolu Arokodare Nets First Wolves Goal in Carabao Cup Win

Tolu Arokodare has opened his goalscoring account for Wolverhampton Wanderers, sealing a 2-0 victory over Everton in the third round of the Carabao Cup. The Nigerian striker, a summer deadline day signing, scored his first goal for the club with a composed finish late in the game.

Having come on as a second-half substitute, Arokodare's moment arrived in the 87th minute when he cleverly chipped the ball over the onrushing Everton goalkeeper. The goal put the result beyond doubt and secured Wolves' spot in the next round of the cup competition.

The decisive strike against Everton, in just his third appearance since arriving in England, will be a welcome relief for the 24-year-old, who will be hoping this goal is the first of many in a Wolves shirt.
