Ogunmodede: "We Are Not Scared of Anyone" - CAF Champions League

After a 1-1 draw against Rivers United in their 2025/2026 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season opener, Remo Stars' head coach, Daniel Ogunmodede, sent a clear message about his team's ambitions in the CAF Champions League. The coach stated, "I am not scared. I don't have the power of selection. It is whatever they give to me that I prepare for. Sundowns is also a club like Remo Stars. They also have players with two legs."

Ogunmodede, who was marking his 100th game in charge of the club, believes in facing the toughest opposition to foster growth. "We are the best in the country from last season, so we should be facing our contemporaries outside the shores of the country. We don't want the cheap thing, we want the hard way," he said.

Remo Stars will now turn their attention to the CAF Champions League preliminary round, where they are set to face US Zilimadjou from Comoros. The first leg will take place this Sunday at the MKO Abiola Sports Arena.
