Flying Eagles Held to a Draw by Chile in U20 World Cup Warm-up

The Flying Eagles of Nigeria played to a 1-1 draw against hosts Chile in a friendly match in Rancagua, as both teams finalize their preparations for the upcoming 24th FIFA U20 World Cup.

Nigeria took the lead in the 18th minute when Ahmed Akinyele powerfully headed home a corner kick from Tahir Maigana. However, their lead was short-lived, as Chile equalized 18 minutes later through a goal from Felipe Faúndez.

The second half saw a more cautious approach from both sides, with Nigerian goalkeeper Ebenezer Harcourt making two crucial saves to keep the scores level. The match also saw the introduction of substitutes Abduljelil Kamaldeen, Kparobo Arhieri, and Auwal Ibrahim for Nigeria.

The Flying Eagles will now turn their attention to their final friendly, where they will face the Australia U20 team on Tuesday.
