OFFICIAL: Nurudeen Aweroro Appointed as Head Coach of Shooting Stars SC

Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) have officially appointed Nurudeen Aweroro as their new head coach, marking a fresh chapter for the Ibadan-based Nigeria Premier Football League side.

The appointment was confirmed on Tuesday, ending weeks of speculation over the club’s technical leadership. Aweroro takes over the reins following a spell at Ikorodu City, who have now reinstated Bright Ozebagbe as their head coach in response to his departure.

Coaching Shuffle

Aweroro was reportedly chosen ahead of other top contenders, including former 3SC coaches Deji Ayeni and Edith Agoye. The club’s management has expressed confidence in his ability to bring a new tactical approach and stability to the team.

Work Begins Immediately

The newly appointed head coach has wasted no time getting to work—his backroom staff have already begun overseeing training sessions at the club’s camp as they prepare for the upcoming season.

Club Statement (Expected Soon)

While an official unveiling ceremony is expected in the coming days, Shooting Stars fans will be eager to hear Aweroro’s vision for the team and how he plans to guide them back to prominence in Nigerian football.
